FAQs

Are children allowed at the wedding?

While we love all the kiddos, it is our preference to not have children at the wedding, however they are welcome to join for Friday and Sunday activities. Thankfully, there are reputable babysitting companies, such as Baja Babysitters, that come highly recommended. If you need help coordinating or would like to connect with others needing a sitter, reach out to Lois.

What should I pack?

Along with your finest dance moves, please be sure to bring Reef Safe sunscreen. Other items to consider: beach towels, swimsuits, light/comfortable clothing for the daytime, sweatshirts and lights for the evening, hats, sunglasses, flip flops, biodegradable wipes, and headlamps. Do not forget a water bottle!

What’s the weather like this time of year?

At the beginning of May, this area typically enjoys warm, sunny weather. Daytime temperatures average around 80°F to 85°F (27°C to 29°C), with cooler evenings dipping into the low 60s°F (16°C to 18°C). The ocean is usually warm enough for swimming, and a light breeze often adds to the comfortable, tropical vibe.

Do I need cash and how do I get it?

The easiest way to get cash is from an ATM. Trust us, the small fee is worth the convenience. There are ATMs in the airport before you exit the sliding doors, just to the left at the bottom of the escalators. Grocery stores will all have ATMs as well. It’s generally good to have a little cash in Mexico.

Where can I get groceries?

We love La Comer (not just because it has a pelican for a logo). It’s easy to navigate and they have absolutely everything that you could need. This is your best option for grabbing food and drinks before heading to the Cape. There are small tiendas in La Fortuna and Cabo Pulmo with limited options. Keep in mind hotels may not have a mini-fridge, but will have food for purchase.

Be sure to bring water to the desert! We suggest buying the large containers of water available at grocery stores and gas stations to ensure you always have drinking water. If you didn’t know, do not drink the tap water. We will do our best to make sure there is always water! You can also save and get big 5-gallon water jugs at Water World in Town HERE.

Things to consider regarding health and safety.

There are American hospitals in San Jose del Cabo that are both reputable and affordable. There is also a local hospital in La Ribera, 35 minutes north of Cabo Pulmo.

Who can I contact if I have questions?

Jake and Lois are more than happy to help answer any questions or help with your planning. They are very familiar with the area and can provide additional recommendations if you plan to extend your trip.

How do I RSVP?
